When do I apply?
MUTAS application cycle opens on 1st April for the succeeding (next) academic year.
Can I have a list of the programs that you offer?
Please find the list of the course programs MUTAS offers in our current Prospectus or on this website under our courses.
When and how will I receive the outcome of my application?
In 24 Hours from your submission of application whether by e-mail, online or hand-delivered, the MUTAS Admissions Team will send you an e-mail of the appropriate feedback.
Can I apply without a copy of my ID/Passport document?
No, your ID or identity is an essential part of the requirement for your admission and subsequent registration purpose.
Can I use the downloaded application form or do I request an original form?
Yes, you may submit a completed application form that you have downloaded.
Can I apply via email?
Yes, you may print, scan and email your completed application with all the required documents. Applicants wanting to submit a hardcopy application form can submit their application form at any of the two MUTAS campuses or the application can be sent via post to the University.

How do I access library materials posted inside the E-learning Platform?
Books and modules posted by the library department can be accessed by login into the e-learning Platform under My courses look for the University Virtual Library
Do I get credits for courses I completed at another college or University?
Yes, might get credits for similar courses you might have completed at any other accredited university or college provided the programs are at same level with same or similar course outcomes and contents. However, universities and colleges are not all always on the same NQF level of study. For better guidance please enquire at the relevant university faculty to verify credit applications.

Can I change campuses?
Yes, you can change campuses if and only if the course is offered at the campus on which you wish to study. This would also depend on space availability.
Can you work while studying in Zambia?
Yes, MUTAS courses are what you call learning while you are doing it. The courses require application of theory hence we encourage students to take-up employment opportunities and combine with their studies. However, for international students, it is advisable that you first seek for permission through our International Student Office.
There are so many schools in Zambia. Why must I study with MUTAS?
What we know is MUTAS is currently the only contemporary university that mains the real quality practical higher education aimed at preparing students with industry and entrepreneurship skills needed by the fourth industrial revolution (industry 4.0 and 5.0) and the labour market and business sector. MUTAS courses are aligned with the labour market, the UN SDGs and the industry 4.0 and 5.0 skills needs. However, we encourage you to research for career options and define your priorities.
Do I need to apply again if I have applied the previous year and have not been accepted?
Yes, an applicant is required to fill out another application form for each academic year.
How do I apply?
International application processes and requirements vary based on application types. Note that graduate applicants should also review program-specific admission criteria, deadlines and requirements.
What is the difference between online studies and distance studies?
Essentially there is no difference.
What is distance education?
Distance education occurs when a student and an instructor are in different places. Learning occurs by mail, telephone, internet, or by other means.
Can I join MUTAS and gain credits from a university outside of Zambia?
Yes, although you may lose some credits and require extra time to complete your degree.
